MEC VASS MEETING MUNICIPALITIES IN NAMAKWA – FEBRUARY 2021

MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs, Mr Bentley Vass held a follow up engagement with all Municipal Mayors in the Namakwa District in an effort to discuss challenges impacting on service delivery issues raised in the previous meeting held earlier this year and also assess progress made in relation to the issues addressed. In this engagement, MEC Vass used this opportunity to hand over 89 title deeds to 3 local municipalities. Cllr R. Swartz, the Mayor of Hantam local Municipality received 51 title deeds for Loeriesfontein.  Eight Title deeds were handed over to the Mayor of Khai Ma Cllr P. Van Heerden for Poffader Project 98 and Project 100.  Cllr.S. Nero, Mayor of Kamiesberg local Municipality received 30 title deeds for Ward 3 and Ward 4. A stakeholder engagement will be held tomorrow to further discuss challenges impacting on service delivery in Municipalities in the District.
