RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS 2021 – 15 FEBRUARY 2021
The 15th of February 2021 marked the beginning of the 2021 academic year in most government schools in the country. As part of the Northern Cape Provincial Government’s Visits to schools, MEC Bentley Vass visited Hoërskool Kharkams and Laërskool Kamieskroon in the Namakwa District to ensure that the schools were in a better state or condition to welcome back the learners. MEC was accompanied by leadership from the District and Local Municipalities, Department of Education as well as the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture. MEC also handed over sporting equipment, sanitary towel dispenser and incinerator, which were donated by Department of Sports, Arts and Culture and Former Learner at Hoerskool Kharkams, Mr. Victor Babery.
