On the 30th of April MEC Bentley Vass visited the R27 roadblock in Calvinia. The roadblock was a joint operation between the Provincial Traffic Department, South African Police Services, Namakwa District Municipality and the Department of Health. The visit was aimed at ensuring all measures were in place with regard to travel regulations and that there was strict adherence to the lockdown rules.
