MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT TRAINING UNDERWAY IN KIMBERLEY

The Department of Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements, and Traditional Affairs (COGHSTA) conducts a Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) training session for municipalities receiving the grant. The training is taking place from 24–28 March 2025 in Kimberley and aims to enhance municipal capacity in managing infrastructure projects effectively.

Why is the MIG Training Important?

The Municipal Infrastructure Grant - the National Department of Cooperative Governance developed the Management Information System (MIG-MIS) as a project management tool to support the implementation of the MIG Framework. It enables municipalities to report not only on project registration and lifecycle but also on financial and non-financial aspects, ensuring accountability and efficiency in infrastructure development.
